My story
Hey, ya'll, it's Renee! At The NewBorn Newsy, every parent deserves to feel confident and supported throughout their parenting journey, from pregnancy to postpartum and beyond. As a dedicated neonatal nurse with nearly 15 years of NICU experience, proud mother, "glam-ma" (grandmother), and lifelong advocate for maternal and newborn care—The NewBorn Newsy is built on a foundation of compassion, empowerment, and evidence-based practices.
My passion for supporting parents and families stems from years spent providing hands-on care for the most fragile newborns in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and serving as the trusted advisor and "baby expert" among friends, family, and my community. Recognizing the gaps in maternal, perinatal, and infant care, I created The NewBorn Newsy, LLC, to create a haven for expecting, new, and seasoned parents alike.
Through culturally aware, holistic care, The NewBorn Newsy offers a range of perinatal services, including support from pre-conception through labor and birth preparation, lactation guidance, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. My approach is deeply informed by experience, science, empathy, and a commitment to ensuring that every family—regardless of background—has the tools, knowledge, and support they need to survive and thrive in early parenthood.
